Shooting Tuition

No experience necessary, full tuition given. Suitable for novices as well as guests who have shot before. Simulated game, using shotguns for birds and rifles for stags and vermin. Guns and all equipment provided. No gun licence required. Open all year.

Morning and afternoon shoots. For individuals, couples and groups. Guests booking for less than six people will normally join other guests to make a small group. £85 if booking one guest, if booking two or more guests into the same shoot the price is £70 per guest. Normally these shoots include four stands and the hide, guests shoot simulated partridge, pigeon, duck, pheasant, stag and vermin, with an option at the end of the shoot for rabbit for an additional £20 for ten shots.

Full day shoots. Bookings taken for groups only. A full day including a shooting lunch in an ancient bothy and afternoon tea. For groups of up to six guests £1,500. For groups of up to twelve guests £2,400.

Private sessions. For one person: £75 for one hour, £140 for two hours, plus £10 per 25 shots.
For two guests: £70 (per person) for one hour, or, £90 (per person) for one and a half hours, plus £10 per 25 shots.

Shooting weekends. Bookings taken for groups only, for up to twelve shooting guests. Non shooting guests also welcome for meals and accommodation. A full day shoot with shooting lunch and afternoon tea. Accommodation, breakfasts, evening meals by arrangement.

Clay pigeon shooting gift vouchers are available priced at £85 for one guest, or £140 for two guests booking for the same shoot. Weekend break vouchers for a shoot and a bed and breakfast stay at the lodge for one guest in a four poster room are £130 for one night, or £165 for two nights. Weekend break vouchers for a shoot and a bed and breakfast stay at the lodge in a standard four poster room for two guests for one night are £240, or two nights for £320.

Outdoor clothing suitable for weather conditions on the day should be worn together with a hat with a peak and wellingtons or waterproof walking boots. Spectators are not permitted.

There are boarding kennels on the estate and a drying room in the lodge. Fishing with a professional ghillie may also be booked.
