The Lake District is home to the famous fell packs and has been hunted by some of the most celebrated of huntsmen including John Peel (who is buried at Caldbeck Church) and Joe Bowman. Bracken Bank Lodge lies in The Cumberland Farmers country. Immortalised in the famous hunting song "D' Ye Ken John Peel" Scratchmere Scar is next to Middle Wood on the estate and can be viewed from the front of the Lodge.
